Overview
To prepare for using digital ID cards or digital tickets, you may test your barcode scanner. You may also add an organization logo to display on the digital passes.
Barcode Test
Before enabling digital tickets or digital ID cards, it is important to test your existing scanners to ensure they can read barcodes/QR codes from a phone screen.
You can test this by navigating to Setup>Hardware from your mobile phone and testing if your scanner can read the barcode/QR code on the screen. If you can't, please contact CommunityPass support for a list of options to replace your existing hardware.
Optionally, you may choose to use QR codes instead of barcodes on all your digital passes by navigating to Setup>Hardware and changing the barcode type to QR Code. The Barcode Type will be used for all digital ID Cards, all digital Tickets and all non-custom printed Tickets.
Digital Pass Organization Logo
You may add your organization logo to replace the CP logo on all your digital passes by
navigating to: Setup>Organization Settings>Digital Pass Organization Logo and uploading an image logo that is 87 x 87 px in .png format.
